JE2 Task 3 – Cutscene.

JE2 Task 2 – Script and Narrative Development.

Looking upon the scene was a puzzling sight that perplexed even the cops but I was not in the least bit confused it was a simple sight which took two seconds to figure out. It took a mere two seconds to figure it out unlike these simple cops who simply forget what a person is capable of. I decided to use all 5 senses to find my pray but it was a sad sight to behold. The sight before me that baffled the police was a crime scene where two people had died, a husband and wife, Damion and Jeanne Wesley and to top it off it was the classic murder mystery with a locked room. To be put bluntly a room locked from the inside with no way of escape but no murderer in sight a real cliché in the novels…a bit too overused in my opinion.
In this room they had to break the door down to get in which just further proves the point that no one could of been in the room or escaped after killing the two. Just by looking at the crime scene and the state of the bodies you could guess what the cause of murder was, there was no external injuries on either of the bodies and the walls was clean and there was no damage to the surrounding area, it was slightly messy but what room isn’t. the walls were lined with bookshelves, a number of murder mystery novels that I had read multiple time myself, I bet they never thought that they would end up a part of one.
There were a few things that stuck out when I looked over the room, the first being a greyish medicine tray with each day on it the day labelled Tuesday was open and empty, the next bit of evidence, or lack thereof, was the fact that there was not a single weapon in the room that could have been used for any of the murders all of this lead toward the strong possibility of a using drugs for the murder but that would only explain one of the murders and not the other since only the two of them lived here but what explained everything was what I found on the floor hidden under the desk
A heart bracelet
A heart bracelet which was inscribed D.W <3 L.H
All the information then came together…love really is a sad thing isn’t it…it can drive someone insane
The murderer was…Jeanne Wesley
After finding out that her husband was cheating on her she decided to kill him probably to inherit his things before they were to get divorced but after what she had done to the person she had once loved so much to the point of saying “I do” she killed herself not being able to live with what she had done and decided to die the same way spending the remainder of her time by her husband’s side

Love may be sad…but it can also be very beautiful. Like a thorny rose

JE1 Task 5 Interactive Stories and Writing Strategies

Cinematics (Trailer)
The cinematics/trailer gives the buyer a small look into the games story, they only give a small glimse into the games story as to give you a intriguing idea of what the games about while making it vague enough to give people hopes for more things that may not be in the game. They do this so people become more interested in the game, they start wanting more of the game and buy it on release because not too much of the game has been spoiled. The trailer are just there to tease the game, they do this by being very short and action packed which leave you wanting more and more.
Pokemon Sun and Moon
In this new trailer for Pokemon sun and moon it shows limited things about the game on the surface but underneath the surface it shows off a lot more or gives more ideas that you can theorize with which is a good thing in my opinion. On the surface it shows off what the region is called "Alola", the 3 starter pokemon "Litten", "Poplio" and "Rowlet" as well as the two legendary pokemon for he game. Underneath the surface there is a lot more such as the fact that your character is wearing different clothes in two different parts which means that the character customisation is back, the professor says "cousin" in a tropical region which shows that the game is based off of Hawaii, there are other things but i think I've made my point.

Persona 5
In the persona 5 trailer they also give off things on the surface and underneath the surface, on the surface they show off the characters and show what the main characters persona is, the fact that they have a meelee weapon and a gun. underneath all of that it shows you fighting enemies, in other persona game you fight against shadows but in this game you are fighting other personas. also it shows the fact that the protagonist is a thief so does that mean that you are the bad guy in this game.

Cut Scene
A games cut scene is almost like watching a movie/show/anime to get the story through to the player in a very easy and simplistic fashion, this is especially good for major points in the story or parts opf the story that are meant to be aesthetically beautiful. they use scripts that are more fluid which is closer to two people talking face to face rather than a system that's click "A" to proceed the conversation which sounds far better, better camera angles and usually use things that they would struggle to show off in normal gameplay without creating more assets.
Fire Emblem Awakening
In this cut scene they show off things they cant usually show off during the gameplay. In this cutscene it shows a fire that starts out, things that are falling from the sky (which is hard to do because of the perspective), the magical portal that looks like a eye in the sky that is creating undead and then a masked person who saves a young girl which would be hard to do during the game play.

Super Smash Bros. Brawl

Triggered event
A triggered event is one of my favorite things in games and usually happen in role playing games but they're not exclusive to them. a triggered event is a part of the game that can and will be different depending on you actions. this can range from secret extra mission that can happen depending on how well you do during a mission or can be just like a visual novel which gives you a spoken options which will change how others speak to you in the game.
Dragon ball Xenoverse
In Dragon ball Xenoverse there is two endings that you can trigger during the last boss fight, the most common one you coule get is where during the last boss fight if your health bar is at 50% or lower then Goku would appear and will help you defeat the boss which would also change the final cutscene where it shows both you and Goku doing the Kamehameha together to defeat the boss Demigra but in the other ending knows as the secret ending if your heath stays above 50% then Goku will never appear and you will do the Kamehameha on your own and get overpowered but the friends that you have made will appear and give you support and energy so that you can beat Demigra and complete the game.

Persona 4 Golden
In Persona 4 Golden they use triggered events quite well because if you don't do certain things within certain time frames then you can miss out on things, you also have things you can say that will change that happens and what your relationships are. Persona 4 Golden is also a remastered version of the original persona 4 since it has two huge different triggered events that can happen such as becoming friends with the antagonist and then not having the heart to tell the police on him so you end up becoming his accomplice or if you become friends with Marie, the new and unknown girl, before a certain date you get a whole new part to the story which lets you have a wider perspective on the game.

Player Control
The biggest part of progressing through a game is the player control, this works by having the player going through the game and traversing the levels. this tells the story with the environment, enemies and characters talking to you during the level. This is the best way and its what a game is all about because it allows you to fully experience and immerse yourself in the story that you are playing. by playing the game you are able to put yourself into the shoes of the character and really experience everything for yourself e.g. finishing a level that was hard would let you really remember a story since you would repeat the same level and see the same things but another thing is the fact that replaying levels will let you view things differently depending on how you play.
Undertale Pacifist route
Undertale Genocide route
On the game Undertale it has a very interesting concept which they mention on their steam page "UNDERTALE! The RPG game where you don't have to destroy anyone." which you don't because in this game you are able to spare and give mercy to your enemies and depending how you play will change the story quite drastically. on your first palythrough of the game you will play the neutral route which means you can kill or save anyone and be free to do what you want but if you don't kill anyone, flowey tells you that you are able to reload and then do the pacifist route or if you start the game again you are able to do the genocide route were you have to kill absolutely everything which drastically changes how you play and the story.

Character Customisation
character customisation is a good way to put yourself into the character, you are able to make yourself into the character and become whoever you want to be in the game. when you use character customisation and become one with your character you are able to immerse yourself in the story even more whether it be because of the greater aesthetics or because you designed that character to be how you wanted it creates a greater story experience without really changing the story itself. the only time I believe that your customer characterisation will actually change is when the game has races (Caucasian, Asian, etc.) and whether this be because of racism or because I know in some games they have different races (Elves, Giants, etc.) where you could start in different towns because they live in different places.
